Self-priming metal rotor pumps feature high wear resistance and high temperature tolerance, enabling them to transport abrasive, high-pressure, and high-temperature media containing hard solid particles. They possess characteristics such as strong self-priming, bidirectional delivery, low fluid shear, and stable flow rate. The modular structure facilitates convenient disassembly and maintenance, making them widely used in chemical slurry, oil sludge, municipal sludge, pulp, and heavy oil transportation scenarios.

- Description
- Technical Specification
Self-priming metal rotary lobe pump adopts all-metal rotor construction. Benefiting from outstanding self-priming capability, it can directly suck media from tank bottoms and pools without foot valve or pre-filling. As a positive displacement rotary transfer pump, the synchronously counter-rotating rotors impose minimal shear on materials and steadily deliver high-viscosity, abrasive fluids with hard solid particles. The pump supports forward and reverse pumping. Modular components facilitate fast on-site maintenance. Wear-resistant and heat-resistant metal rotors make it suitable for challenging media including petroleum sludge, chemical slag slurry, municipal sludge and paper pulp.
Working Principle:

- Stage 1:A pair of closely meshing rotors rotate in opposite directions, progressively expelling the air at the suction end and thereby creating a vacuum there, so that the medium is forced in by atmospheric pressure.
- Stage 2:The medium enters the sealed chambers between the rotors and the pump chamber and is progressively pushed by the rotors toward the discharge end.
- Stage 3:The medium is continuously pushed toward the discharge end by the rotors.
- Stage 4:The medium fills the entire pump chamber and, as the driver runs, continuous transfer of the medium is achieved.

Metal Rotor:

Product Features:
- Defined clearances and no metal-to-metal contact between rotor and rotor or between rotor and casing give a long service life.
- A modular design concept: the same pump model can be supplied with different rotor types (2-lobe, 3-lobe, 5-lobe), all interchangeable, and can be matched to the required product passage rate, suction-lift requirement and viscosity. A wide range of materials is available (carbon steel, 304 SS, 316L SS, 2205 duplex, 2507 super duplex, etc.).
- Can handle media with a viscosity of 10,000 – 100,000 cP as well as media with a low solids content in fine particles.
- Simple rotor structure, easy to maintain and replace.
Applications:
Widely used in oil fields, food and pharmaceutical production, fine chemicals, new-energy lithium battery manufacturing, paper-making and shipbuilding, and suitable for transferring and unloading heavy oil, slurries, pastes and other complex media. The pumps meet a variety of process requirements, including hygienic, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant duty.

Q
How do I select the right pump model?
APlease provide medium, viscosity, temperature, required flow, discharge pressure, suction condition and installation space. Our engineers will recommend a rotary pump, centrifugal pump, sewage lifting unit or complete pump set within 24 hours. -
Q
Can the pump handle high-viscosity or solids-laden fluids?
AYes. Twin-rotor lobe pumps are designed for high-viscosity, gas-liquid mixed and slightly solids-laden media. For abrasive slurry, we recommend a dedicated slurry centrifugal pump with wear-resistant materials. -
Q
Do you support OEM / ODM and custom materials?
AWe provide OEM and ODM services, including customized rotor geometry, sealing systems, skid layout, control panels, and wetted parts in cast iron, stainless steel, duplex steel or other alloys. -
Q
What is the warranty and after-sales response?
AStandard warranty is 12 months after handover following 168 hours of trial operation. Technical staff can be dispatched for installation guidance, and quality issues are handled within 0–36 hours after notification.
