The GTSP Series Sewage Lift Pump Unit is a complete system consisting of a cam rotor pump, collection tank, control device, and associated piping and valves. It operates on the same principle as a conventional collection sump: wastewater flows by gravity into the collection tank through the unit inlet. Once the liquid level reaches the preset start level, the unit activates automatically and lifts sewage for discharge into the municipal sewer network. It is well suited for high-footfall public sanitary facilities requiring high head.

Working Principle:

| A | When wastewater enters the collection tank, coarse solids settle to the tank bottom by gravity(or are intercepted by the optional lifting basket). As the liquid level rises to the pump-start level, the control unit sends a signal to start thecorresponding lobe pump. |
| B | Once started, the lobe pump draws inwastewater together with large solids. Throughthe synchronized rotation of its two rotors, thepump macerates soft, bulky solids anddischarges them along with the liquid. |
| C | Intelligent control cabinet: each set of levelprobes outputs high-level and low-level signalsto start and stop the corresponding pump, respectively. |
Product Composition:

Comparison of Advantages: Lobe-Pump-Type vs. Centrifugal-Pump-Type Sealed Pumping Station
| Item | Lobe-pump-type sealed pumping station | Centrifugal-pump-type sealed pumping station | Remarks |
| Solids handling | Dual-shaft, dual-rotor design provides both maceration of the medium and large-passage solids handling | Uses a macerator pump or a vortex pump, providing only one function: maceration or large-passage solids handling | Lobe pumps offer superior solids-handling capability |
| Level sensors | Redundant design: two mutually backup and complementary level-sensor systems — electrode type and pneumatic type — for fail-safe operation | Uses one of the following: infrared, electrode-type or pneumatic level sensor | Two level-sensor systems greatly improve reliability, ensuring the level sensors never fail and do not affect use of the washroom |
| Venting and odor control | Strong lobe-pump self-priming capability makes odor control simple | Weak centrifugal-pump self-priming capability; the pump is prone to cavitation during odor control | The lobe-pump-type sealed pumping station offers better expandability |
| Footprint | Not less than 5 m² (including maintenance space) | Not less than 8 m² (including maintenance space) | Lobe-pump type is simpler to operate and maintain |
| Inspection and maintenance | Dry installation: the lobe pump is isolated from the sewage tank during operation, so pump maintenance is simple and quick and does not interrupt use of the washroom | Centrifugal pumps are wet-installed; maintenance is time-consuming and the washroom must be out of service for a long period | Lobe-pump type is simpler to operate and maintain |
| Sump clean-out to the bottom | Yes | No | Lobe pumps have strong self-priming and can clean out to the bottom; centrifugal pumps require a certain pump-stop liquid level to be reserved |
| Total investment | Initial investment + subsequent O&M approx. RMB 180,000 – 280,000 (depending on wastewater volume) | Initial investment + subsequent O&M approx. RMB 200,000 – 280,000 (depending on wastewater volume) | Lobe pumps involve lower total investment |
Applications:
Basement toilet drainage, metro toilet drainage, civil-defence basement toilet drainage, other underground toilet drainage, and all other locations where sewage is generated and needs to be lifted.
